Vintage Golden Age Mystery
Scavenger Hunt Category: Doctor
Date Finished: May 24, 2016

I enjoyed these more than the Best of selection I finished recently, though some of those came from this work. Again Thorndyke doesn’t have much character but the puzzle is the thing here and Thorndyke and science do not fail.

The cover image is an illustration from “The Moabite Cipher” in which Dr. Thorndyke explains to Professor Poppelbaum the meaning of the mysterious cipher, with presumable Dr. Jervis looking on. It turns out that the ink is the thing.
