Kenneth Robeson – World’s Fair Goblin (1939)

Czar of Fear-Worlds Fair Goblin

Date Finished: January 1, 2016

Ghosted by William G. Bogart under the Kenneth Robeson house name, with some revision by Lester Dent, this one reads slightly better than some of the usual Dent work. It is also fun to have it set at the 1939 World’s Fair in New York, including hidden laboratories in the Perisphere. It fails, however, to really focus on the goblin, and instead gives him the name Maximus and little to do. Pat Savage is also here, but tied up for most of the story.
