Georges Simenon – Maigret Goes Home (1932)

n139367

Golden Age
Category: Man in the Title
Finished: February 14, 2014

With the typical Simenon atmosphere and unusual style of dialogue, Maigret goes back to his home village to investigate a murder threat. No one conveys a cold November day like Simenon. Rather than complete and fully formed sentences, the dialogue seems more human with snippets, half-starts and interruptions.
